I'm running a Vantage Pro2 for a couple of years now. Besides that the superCap gets worse and worse all is running fine. What scares me a bit is that nothing new hit the market in the past few years. We have seen small changes the the rain collector and just days ago a mini-patch for WeatherlinkIP. While the hardware might still be good enough, the software isn't. Managing the station and bringing the results to a Homepage is definitely needing some refresh. Somebody Aware of any plans?

I have asked Davis many times that question. I have even suggested they need to really improve Weatherlink for Mac and it always goes two ways, ignored or the reply that they are sending the message on to their software staff. I am very confident that staff is in 8th grade and works part time at recess.

I'm running my Vantage Pro2 plus for 8 years now. The software was ok at the beginn but clearly lost ground compared with competitive products. Staying with the manufacturer of the hardware might be the easiest way, but seeing that Weatherlink was last updated 3.5 years ago (Windows version raises some doubts. I will start looking around mainly for better graphics representation of the data, getting multi-language support (I translated part the data but failed on forecast and phase of the moon as this data seems to be deeply hidden in WeatherLink). Well, Davis obviously got a new web-page. I hope, they have now time to bring WeatherLink to a new Level. I willing to pay for a good, new product.

I write them and really do not get a lot of feedback . I think they believe they have reached the top of their game. OR maybe they have something in the works and can't release it because of flaws . I could appreciate that.
I asked them if they could make their desktop version of Weatherlink more user friendly such as allowing the user to name sensors. Make the MAC version like the PC version. and what they write back is they will refer it to their software developers. I don't think they have them on board. The might farm it out.
The Davis is a very good system, but it could use some improvements such as the console, a better view other than keeping the LEDs on 24/7.
I guess we will have to wait and see. OR keep bugging them until they either do something or tell us to go fly a kite.

Weatherlink 2.0 is on the way! It's not your local installation (which lacks updates for year's) , it's the web application. www.weatherlink.comThere is also an app for Android but obviously it just shows recent added stations - so it's quite empty yet. The page says that all stations registered under Weatherlink 1.0 will be migrated to the Weatherlink 2.0 page (and app) in spring 2018. Looking forward to it.
