wind reading stuck at 156.1 kms/ hour

I have had a small problem with my Davis Vantage Pro2 station mounted in Barga Vecchia, Barga (LU) Tuscany, Italy

If it rains and there is some wind then the wind speed reads out at 156.1 kms an hour --- slightly worrying for people checking the weather in this area :-)

I have recently updated the weatherlink software but I still get this problem.

Has anybody else ever had this problem ... and if so, how did they solve it ?

I had a similar problem with my original Vantage Pro 1; it was a hardware problem that required anemometer replacement (under warranty.) I'd suggest contacting Davis support.

thanks Admin .... the weather station has been running day and night for over three years ... I have a feeling that warranty expired a l-o-n-g time ago.

I had the same problem a while back with my Weather Monitor II.
The unit went bad. Unfortunately the sensors do go bad after a while and replacement is necessary.
