I get that error message, followed by 'Possibly upgraded to the wrong folder'. What is this? Nothing works! My system and software have worked really well for many months, now nothing. I tried downloading 5.8.1.again, but zilch, same error. Anyone got any ideas? I no longer have the Weatherlink CD so reloading 5.5 won't do me any good. ARGH.

That's a first. Never seen that error before. You say it was working fine with 5.5 then when you upgraded to 5.8.1 this happened? If that's the case 5.5 should still be on your HD. Downloading the upgrade doesn't erase the old version. Remove everything associated with 5.8.1 then try 5.5 again. I tried 5.8 but was having problems so I deleted it and went back to 5.7. Works like a charm.

Versions prior to 5.8 installed to a default of c:\weatherlink. 5.8 on up default to c:\Program Files\Weatherlink.
I believe Davis' docs explain this - you should be able to just move your old data files and configuration files from the c:\weatherlink directory to the new location.
