I had to re-install WeatherLink 5.8/5.8.1 Now I can not find my previous station name. And when I try to create a new station name, I keep getting "Directory xxx already exist", no matter what name I type in.
I have Davis Vantage Pro 2 Plus and it is working OK with Virtual Weather and Virtual VP.
Any ideas please?
Thanks, Jack

Sounds like you have to delete all previous files and start brand new. If you still have your archive data saved in the other programs just completely remove everything from the original Weatherlink. At least that's what I would try. Anyone else?

Thanks, I have tried that several times and un-installed and re-installed 5.8.0/5.8.1, and still the same problem. There may be some hidden files somewhere that I just can't see to get rid of. Thanks Jack

What if you install to a whole new directory name? You don't have to use Weatherlink as the top level folder, you could use something else.
Also... Archive data??? I assume you can bring old data from an old install to the new install. What files are envolved? How do you do this???
