I am running WeatherLink 5.8 and need to use the Manage Modules function in File to upload data to Weather Underground. I downloaded the dll file I need, but when I hit Manage Modules nothing happens. Why is that and how can I load this module?

Are you sure you DL the module to the correct directory in your Weather Link folder?

I also had troubles with this one but finally read the directions several times and Weather Underground is now funtioning for me. My Davis Pro 2 is only about a month old. Yup I had it in the wrong directory. Good luck.

I am running WeatherLink 5.8 and need to use the Manage Modules function in File to upload data to Weather Underground. I downloaded the dll file I need, but when I hit Manage Modules nothing happens. Why is that and how can I load this module? After you downloaded the DLL file, you need to move it to your WeatherLink\Expansion_Modules folder. Let's say you downloaded it to your desktop, and you see it sitting there in front of you. Now you have to find your way to the WeatherLink folder. It's likely in C:\WeatherLink or C:\Program Files\WeatherLink, but if you're not comfortable mousing around in explorer, it might be easiest to click "Start / Search" then pick Files and Folders, then type 'WeatherLink' and search for it. Once you've found the WeatherLink folder, you want to find the folder inside it named Expansion_Modules. Open up that folder. Now, drag the DLL from your desktop and drop it into that folder. You should now be able to open up WeatherLink and pick File/Manage Modules... Hope this helps, John

I have encountered the same issue with 5.8. I've read the comments here and have the dll for weatherunderground in the correct spot but I still get nothing when I click on Manage Modules. The only difference is I have the software installed under my /tmp directory because I have an external hard drive for data backup that won't allow me to copy anything under Program Files. Any thoughts from anyone on this? Thanks!

Are you sure you have the DLL in the Expansions Module file and not in the actual weather station file? As far as I remember you have to create this file because it doesn't exist. Sorry, just trying to make sure. Also I don't think placing it in the external HD would have any affect, being that it's just an extension of the onboard HD.

no worries, appreciate any help I can get. Here is the directory path from windows explorer:
C:\tmp\WeatherLink\Expansion_Modules
Under this I have WuiWlink_1.dll from weatherunderground. Also have the old .dll. This is on windows XP.

Ok, I'm an idiot. I ended up with two weatherlink directories. The one under /tmp and then another under program files. This whole time I've been messing with the wrong one! I had the expansion_modules directory under the inactive weatherlink directory. I copied it ove and it is nowworking. SORRY!!! I'm now happily spewing weather data to weatherunderground.

It's amazing how sometimes we bang our heads trying to find a solution and it's right there in front of us the whole time. Glad to hear you got it working. I know that feeling of relief.

getting that module to work with Vista 64 bit is even more headaches.
Davis says that Weatherlink isn't and probably won't be Vista 64 bit compatible . I can get it to run.. but when I put in the module in the module folder I check it, go for the gold, but the program won't recognize it.
One other interesting spin.. the station file is one that is hidden and it is such as: C:\Users\Joseph's\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\WeatherLink\Toubes
it doesn't reside in the program or the program (x86) with the rest of the program.. Plus copying the station file, like in xp is easy into a new directory... the software won't recognize old data files.
I am hoping as time goes on, Davis will restructure their software so that it's compatible.
I am running Weatherink IP.. and so far only one burnt logger (Davis is exchanging it)
