Excuse my ignorance, is it possible to have a template page re-named automatically as it uploads, in other words could it be used a a Home page, which in my case would need to be renamed index.htm

Yes - just name whatever template you want to use for that as "index.htx" and have WeatherLink process that. It'll then upload as index.htm or index.html (whichever you establish in the setup for that upload interval.) Davis' default template names are excessively long and cumbersome - nobody is ever going to directly type in "http://www.joesweather.com/Current_Vantage_Pro_Plus.html" - even if you didn't want to have that as your home page, it'd make much more sense to rename the template as something like "wx1.htx" and have it upload as wx1.html.
